Matilde Poulat designed this brooch from Mexico's famous MATL workshop, which she founded. The silverwork is reflective of Mexican native art and symbolism. As with all her work, the brooch has rough-cut stones. According to Mexican Silver Hallmarks by Hougart, the markings on this brooch indicate this pin was made around 1934 to 1948.
