Georg Jensen Art Nouveau Onyx Ring in Sterling Silver
This stunning vintage Art Nouveau ring, designed by the legendary Georg Jensen in 1906, beautifully exemplifies the timeless elegance and craftsmanship for which Jensen is celebrated. The intricate sterling silver design features a bold, central onyx cabochon surrounded by detailed leaf motifs, characteristic of the flowing organic forms of the Art Nouveau movement.
A design of historical significance, this ring is featured in "Georg Jensen, A Tradition of Splendid Silver" by Janet Drucker (Schiffer Publishing Ltd., 2001, p. 113) and in "Georg Jensen Jewelry" by Anscombe, Gelfer-Jorgensen, Greenbaum, and Soro (Yale University Press, 2005, p. 175). A version of this iconic piece is also part of the Museum of Copenhagen’s collection, attesting to its cultural and artistic importance.
