About Taxco Silver Maker Ballesteros
The Ballesteros family has been involved in silversmithing for generations. They started their work in Iguala. Jalil Majul Ballesteros learned the silversmithing trade from his grandfather and in 1937 moved to Taxco and started Talleres de Los Ballesteros or The Ballesteros Workshops. Throughout the generations, Talleres de Los Ballesteros made its jewelry using traditional handcrafted processes and craftsmen. Their work is marked with an ornate B or sometimes MM-34.
