About Taxco Silver Jewelry Maker Sigi Pineda

Sigi Pineda, born in Taxco, Mexico, is a prominent Mexican artist and silversmith. Growing up in Taxco, a city renowned for its silver craftsmanship, Pineda was exposed to the rich heritage of the region from an early age.  The nephew of Antonio Castillo, world reknowned silvermaker and one of the founders of the renowned Los Castillo silver workshop in Taxco, Mexico. Sigi, influenced by his uncle's work and the silver traditions of Taxco, developed his skills in silver craftsmanship. While working with Los Castillo, Pineda gained valuable knowledge about design, technique, and the business of silver jewelry production.  

Eventually, Sigi Pineda established his own workshop and pursued his distinctive artistic style, becoming an accomplished silver artist in his own right. His work gained international recognition, and his jewelry was highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
