Carnelian Floral Early Georg Jensen Necklace

The essence of Art Nouveau, this elegant necklace was designed and crafted by Georg Jensen.  An important piece, versions of this necklace can be seen on pages 107 and 176-177 of "Georg Jensen Jewelry" by Anscombe, Gelfer-Jorgensen, Greenbaum and Soro, Yale University Press, 2005, and pages 85 and 173-174 of "Georg Jensen, A Tradition of Splendid Silver," by Janet Drucker, Schiffer Publishing Ltd., 2001.  This version of this notable design includes eight well-matched, luminous cabochon chrysoprases, which are exquisite against the soft sterling silver.  Designed by Georg Jensen in 1905, this necklace is as beautiful today as the day it was designed.  It is unusual to find this necklace in Carnerlian.
